how to look more feminine without makeup

Do you want to know how to look more feminine without makeup?

If so, this blog post is for you.

Throughout my feminine journey, I gathered many tips – big and small, that are really helpful on days when I don’t feel like putting on makeup, but I still want to feel fresh and feminine.

These tips are perfect for when you’re feeling low energy, or if your schedule is too hectic, but you still want to look put together.

Or maybe you are not a fan of makeup at all.

Not wearing make-up is completely normal.

I believe that make-up is not a requirement! A lack of makeup will never stop your true femininity from shining through.

Now let’s get to the tips on how to look more feminine without makeup!

Table of Contents

1) Be confident in your skincare routine

Are you using products that work well with your skin type?

Taking care of your skin is so key!

There are so many amazing skincare brands on the market these days, that it can be hard to know where to start.

I myself found myself so overwhelmed with all the options and recommendations on the market. Until I found this Youtube channel called Doctorly (link here).

If you’re looking for a quality resource on all things skincare – this is a good place to start.

This is a 100 % sincere recommendation. My skin improved so much after applying those tips. My skin is glowy, soft, and clean. Even my subtle wrinkle lines on my forehead disappear.

I was surprised how something simple as washing and moisturizing my face with a great product makes so much difference.

One big realization I had was that – everyone’s face is different.

So I stopped using what influencers recommended to me and I build a skincare routine that is perfect individually for me.

Do some research. And once you find something that works for you, stick to it!

2) Exfoliate your skin

When it comes to skincare, exfoliating your skin is key for glowing skin.

For many years I made the mistake of using physical exfoliants – you know those gritty scrubs that scratch off the top layer of your skin?

Those are not gentle on your face and can cause more harm than good.

It wasn’t until recently I found out about chemical exfoliants – products that do the same job as a physical scrub but much more gently on the skin.

I now use a chemical exfoliator once a week, at night. It’s a really quick and easy step in my skincare routine, and it makes SUCH a big difference.

If you’re looking for a good chemical exfoliator, I would recommend checking out products from The Ordinary (link here).

(Make sure you protect your skin with sunscreen the next days after exfoliation.)

3) Keep your eyebrows on point

This one is especially important if you want to avoid looking too tired without makeup.

Your eyebrows frame your face and give it structure – so it’s really important to keep them groomed and on point.

For too many years I looked dull and tired because my eyebrows were unkempt.

Here are a few steps I took to make sure my eyebrows always look good:

  • Find out your ideal eyebrow shape.

You can simply follow a Youtube tutorial.

  • Stop over plugging your eyebrows

(If you have problem with over plugging, fill in your eyebrows with a pencil to your ideal shape before you start plugging. That way you know exactly what areas can be plugged)

  • Tint your eyebrows if needed

This can be easily done at home with a drugstore product. There are many products that make it a very easy procedure. I tried about 3 brands before I found my favorite.

  • Use a transparent eyebrow gel to keep them in place

I just brush them up to a shape I like.

Now that my brows look amazing – they frame my face so nicely and give it structure!

It makes me feel more confident in day-to-day life. I rarely fill them with a pencil or brow powder.

Keeping your brows perfect is a great way how to look more feminine without makeup.

4) Pick the right earrings

Investing in good accessories is one of the best things I did for my femininity.

Once you have your favorite quality pair of earrings, you feel so much more confident.

When you put some time and effort into choosing a quality pair of earrings, it really shows.

Even on days when I feel too lazy to apply makeup – my favorite accessories always make me look fresh and feminine even with no makeup at all.

Me few tips when it comes to earings:

  • Research what type of earrings complements the shape of your face

For example, my face is rounded and long and thin earrings work the best for me.

It’s definitely worth a quick Google search, so you have a reference next time you are choosing earrings.

  • Quality over quantity

It’s better to have a few high-quality pieces than lots of cheap pieces that will just get damaged over time.

Even if it is just one pair you can afford now, you will feel like a million dollars every time you wear them.

5) Fix frizzy hair around your face

A small trick, that makes such a big difference and gives you an instant “put together” look!

Your hair might be a total mess, but if you can tackle the hair around your face and the ends of your hair, everything will look better right away.

Take a small bit of oil (any beauty oil will work, I use argan oil) and apply it to any flyaways around your face and the ends of your hair.

If the oil is not enough to keep everything in place around your face – then try a clear eyebrow gel, or apply hairspray with a toothbrush.

Keeping your hair polished is a great way how to look more feminine without makeup.

This will help your hair look more put together – even if it’s not styled perfectly.

6) Don't neglect your nails

This will show people that you take care of yourself even when you don’t wear makeup.

A quick manicure can make such a big difference!

Plus, if you don’t have time for a full manicure – just apply a clear top coat to make them look shiny and polished.

7) Treat dry lips

I always keep a lip balm in my bag and apply it throughout the day.

This will make your lips look and feel more moisturized and healthy.

It’s a simple step with huge benefits!

There are many great options for lip balms – I always buy the ones that come in tinted colors.

Extra tip how to look more feminine without makeup just using your lip balm: apply your tinted lip balm on your cheekbones for an instant color boost.

8) Wear your signature perfume

Wearing your perfume is my favorite tip on how to look more feminine without makeup.

It’s like your own personal touch that nobody else has.

Your signature scent is the one that you have chosen for yourself and it makes you feel amazing.

I always make sure to have a bottle of my favorite perfume with me, so I can apply it when I need an extra boost of confidence.

If you are still looking for your signature scent – take some time to smell different perfumes and find the one that makes you feel happy, confident, and feminine.

9) Wear a monochrome outfit

Wearing all the same color in one outfit is a great way to look more put together.

It creates an instantly polished and stylish look so easily!

This works the best with natural colors.

I like to wear all-white outfits or all-black outfits.

But you can experiment with different colors and find the one that works best for you.

10) Do a simple hairstyle

A simple hairstyle can make such a huge difference on days when you don’t have time to put any effort into your hair.

It just adds a little something extra to your look.

Make a list of quick mini hairstyles, and you will be always prepared. Then it takes just 1-2 minutes to get it done.

I personally like a piece of braided hair in the front or front hair clipped together in the back

There are so many different options and it’s really easy to find one that works for you.

11) Lingerie is your superpower

Lingerie is a great way to feel confident and sexy on days when you don’t have time for makeup.

It can make you feel powerful, feminine and in control.

It’s like your own personal power outfit, that’s worth all the costs.

Plus, it’s a secret that nobody else knows about – just for you!

I always like to wear something lacy or with some added detail when I go out.

You can wear something cute and sweet or sexy – it’s totally up to you!

Mainly, make sure your bra is the right fit for you and make sure it supports your breasts perfectly.

12) Fix your posture

I know what you are thinking.

Easier said than done!

Even though it’s not a quick fix, it’s definitely something to work on.

Sitting and standing up straight gives your body an elongated shape and makes you look more confident.

It also helps with your breathing and digestion, which are both key aspects of our health.

So, even if it’s just for a few minutes every day – start working on your posture!

13) Keep your teeth white

I know this sounds like a typical beauty tip.

But teeth it’s one of the first things people notice about you.

I personally saw a BIG change in my confidence after whitening my teeth.

I started smiling more. I started being more expressive, talking more, and engaging more with people around me.

It’s the second biggest thing that influenced my confidence, right after a quality skincare routine.

Visit your dentist and ask about your options.

That’s exactly what I did and never looked back.

14) Choose the right fabrics

How to look more feminine without makeup wearing the right fabrics?

The fabrics you wear play a role in your overall look and confidence.

I like to stick to natural fabrics, like cotton or linen, because they are breathable and comfortable. A good piece of silk garment will absolutely elevate your look.

I would avoid anything too synthetic or tight-fitting because they can be uncomfortable and unflattering.

You can experiment with different fabrics until you find the ones that make you feel your best.

15) Wear your self-esteem

This is the most important thing of all!

No matter what you do or how you look – always wear your self-esteem.

Your femininity will grow as your self-esteem grows.

That’s something you can always count on.
